Google Voice

Here is a program that’s causing all the fuss with Apple/iPhone/FCC. I didn’t know much about it. I can see how this can have many applications to business(big and small) and personal use. Check out the video which explains more:

Currently you need an invitation to use the service, though it is soon to be open to U.S. Service members which scores points with me. I sent my request in for an invite so I’ll see what happens. Click here to see official website to sign up for an invite if you don’t already have one. See what iPhone users are missing out on.

Google brings us LIFE

Buzz Aldrin on the Moon.

Marylin Monroe looking over a script.

A tattered flag from the Civil War.

Google working with LIFE magazine has begun publishing LIFE's picture archive. These are photo's and images from 1700's to the present and many have never been published before . You can read more about it here on Google's official blog or can go here to access the archive. Published above are just a sampling of what I found. I'm a history buff so I found this addicting and cool.

Video: Google Chrome

I did this video about Google's new browser Chrome. It's a nice browser but to be labeled as a "Windows killer" is a bit premature if you ask me. It's worth checking out though. It stays with "spartan and to the point" style of Google. with some nice features. It'd be hard to pry me away from Firefox though. Enjoy the video.

Google "Street view" vehicle busted in Britain

Apparently an official Google "Street view" vehicle was caught using a bus lane in England recently. This and other incidents have caused some controversy across the pond. These guys were stopped by the local authorities but managed to talk there way out. I thought it was kind of humorous. I've never seen one in person but the "Street view" of our house show's us having our garage sale last fall. We almost caught them.
