Im very interested in"live versions of linux have you found many and what types, are they all the same, do some require more memory, do most install yourself, what links can you find, thanks

Live versions I have found have been OphCrack, React OS and Ubuntu. Ubuntu cd loads a live version on the cd. After you try it out you can fully install. I believe the others have this also. As far as system requirements it depends on the version your looking at. You can check out the official Linux website and check them out.

As far as who helps me. Well I mainly got into Linux after downloading a few cd's for a friend of mine( he's still on dial up). He's big into freeware and other open source items. Anything else I've had to pick up on the web.
